Treeverse simplify the lives of engineers, data scientists and analysts who are transforming the world with data. Treeverse is a team of passionate data enthusiasts who love all things open source and aim to find creative solutions to big problems.
As part of ambitious growth plans, Co-Founder Dr. Einat Orr needed to employ a talented Developer Advocate, ideally based in California but needed a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role and specifically within Big Data.
Dr. Orr had worked with a number of agencies to find the perfect candidate but after almost 8 months with no success, she began to think that they may never find the prefect advocate. As a last resort she reached out to rcrtr's Oliver Whelan-Hall. Our resident Developer Relations expert. Ollie worked with Dr. Orr to recalibrate the structure of the offer and through his networks and a targeted headhunting campaign presented a shortlist of 3 viable candidates within the first 2 weeks.
Fast-forward 6 weeks and the role had been filled. The candidate now forms a key part of driving organisational growth at Treeverse.
Reflecting on her experience Dr Orr said:
"I was trying to hire a developer advocate for 8 month or so, with no success and this position was becoming a bottleneck for the business. After I spoke to Ollie and had a few good references, we started the hiring process, and after 8 weeks I had the right person in place.
"Since then we went on to hire 3 more positions with Ollie, and the relationship is now a long-term one.
Ollie understands the uniqueness of the developer experience rolls, and gets the attention of top tier candidates. He is relentless in getting the process running, and extremely professional with both the candidates and the recruiting manager. We continue working with him and I urge you to do the same!"
